Cotherium (the "App") is committed to protecting and securely managing user privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the App, how we use it, and how we protect it.

1. 🔍 Information We Collect

The App may collect the following user information:

• User-Selected Photos: The App processes photos selected by users to convert them into ID photos.
• Device Storage Access Permission: The App accesses device storage to allow users to select and save photos.
• Google Sign-In Information: When you link your account with Google, we collect your unique Google ID (UID) and email address to identify your account and restore your purchase history.
• Usage Statistics Data: Anonymized usage statistics may be collected for app improvement and error correction purposes.
• 💳 Payment and Purchase Information: When using paid subscription services, transaction identifiers, subscription status, purchase time, and expiration dates are relayed to the App via Google Play and stored for subscription management.

❗ Note: The App does not store or share sensitive personal information such as biometric data, location information, or contacts.

2. 🎯 Purpose of Information Use

Collected information is used for the following purposes:

• Providing background removal functionality using AI technology
• Applying various international ID photo sizes
• Providing brightness adjustment and background color change features
• Enabling photo saving and printing capabilities
• Improving app performance and fixing errors
• ✨ Managing Paid Services and Subscriptions: We use payment and purchase information to verify and maintain premium subscription status, confirm purchase history, and process refund-related inquiries.

3. 🤝 Information Sharing and Disclosure

Cotherium does not sell, exchange, rent, or share user personal information with third parties. However, exceptions may apply in the following cases:

• Legal Compliance and Authority Requests: Information may be disclosed when required by law or officially requested by government authorities.
• Service Provision: Sharing may occur when absolutely necessary to provide our core services (e.g., cloud server providers).
• Third-Party Payment Processors: Your payment information is securely processed by Google Play, a third-party payment processor. We share necessary data, such as transaction identifiers and purchase status, with Google Play to facilitate subscription management and the provisioning of paid services.
• User Consent: Information may be shared when users have given prior express consent.

4. 🔒 Information Storage and Protection

• To provide AI background removal, your selected photos are securely transmitted to our servers.
• These photos are temporarily stored only for the time necessary for processing and are deleted from the server according to a set procedure after the service is provided. We do not store your photos for other purposes.
• The App applies the latest security technologies to protect all user information, including during data transmission and for managing payment and subscription status.

5. 🚪 Account Deletion and Information Destruction

Users can request to delete their account at any time, and the deletion methods are as follows:

Upon a deletion request, your information will be processed as follows:

• Destruction Principle: As a general rule, upon account deletion, all personal information is immediately destroyed, except for the minimum identification information required to prevent abuse.
• Information to be Destroyed: All data related to the account, such as Google Sign-In information (email address, etc.), credit earning and usage history, and purchase records, will be deleted.
• Exceptional Retention: Information that must be retained under applicable laws (e.g., the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce) will be stored securely for the period prescribed by law and then destroyed.

6. ⚙️ User Rights

Users may exercise the following rights at any time:

• Delete stored data through the App's settings.
• Delete all data by uninstalling the App.
• Inquire or request regarding personal information (Contact: [email protected]).
• Managing Subscriptions: Users can manage or cancel their subscriptions directly through the Google Play Subscriptions Center.

7. 🔄 Changes to Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as necessary. Users will be notified through in-app announcements when significant changes occur.
